Vision                      

       The University has envisioned quality higher education to be imparted to young learners who are serious about acquiring education and allied skills essential for a good  academic career and for life in general.    The University has always welcomed into its portal  students from abroad who are desirous to pursue academics. Foreign students cell caters to the  needs of students from various countries. The University has streamlined the admission procedure, fee structure and other facilities to ensure that foreign  students come to our University in large numbers and take the benefit of diversified courses offered in the curriculum.

Goal

To encourage students for foreign countries to study in our University and to be exposed to our rich multicultural heritage and democratic traditions. To build and expand the knowledge community in the global context .               

Countries

The University has a large number of students from Kenya, Sudan, Yeman, Somalia, Ethiopia, Egypt, Iraq, Djibutia, Thailand, Bhutan, Nepal Eirethrea.

Seats

The UGC has directed that 15 % of seats of each of the courses be reserved for foreign students and this be treated as over and above the normal quota. The University has decided to follow the UGC guideline.The University proposes to build an exclusive foreign students hostel with a minimum intake capacity of 50 students.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad offers a wide variety of courses under different faculties as Graduate, Post-Graduate And Doctoral levels.

Fee Structure

Acc to circular No. ACAD/NP/Foreign/Fees/SI/2007/ 22454-735/Dated 12-10-2007. The Fee Structure is as follows.,

  1. Where there is a total fees upto Rs. 8000/- in any faculty Five fold fees may be charged to the student.
  2. Where there is a total fees more than Rs. 8000/- in any faculty Three fold fees may be charged to the student.

 Admission Procedure

Step 1.

 Purchase the International Students Bulletin (Cost : Rs. 500) containing the application form from the University Publication office. The form may be downloaded from the website www.bamu.net

 

Step 2.

Eligibility fees for Foreign Student Rs. 12,000/- for all faculties. This may be paid to the Bank of Maharashtra, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad extension counter or by Demand Draft in the name of Registrar, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad payable at Aurangabad.

 

Step 3.

Fill up the application form and submit it along with necessary documents. The counterfoil of the Eligibility fee must also be submitted. Every student will be required to submit an undertaking on Rs. 100/- stamp paper.

 

Step 4

The Foreign Students Centre will require two working days for Undergraduate admissions after submission of documents to the office. The Postgraduate and Ph.D. admissions will require 15 working days after the submission of documents to the office.

 

Step 5.

Collect Provisional Admission & Eligibility letter, On the basis of this letter the Indian Embassy in your country will issue a Student Visa (Only Student Visas are acceptable).

Please pay the Registration fee, Medical fee & Medical Insurance fee in the appropriate Bank challans in USD. The total amount to be paid is USD 300. This may be paid in USD or the equivalent sum in Indian rupees. This must be done by the applicant in person. The applicant must carry all original certificates, which must be shown on demand.

Step 6

Please submit receipts of the above payments to the International Centre. This completes the initiate procedure.

 

 

Step 7.

The International Centre, upon receipt will require minimum        7 working days to finally process and allot the college on a first come first serve basis.

Step 8.

Please come after 2 working days in person to collect your letter. The consolidated list of students will be dispatched to the respective colleges on the last 2 working days of the week.

 

 

Step 9.

Please go to the college allotted to you with the International centre letter of admission and pay the fees at the college, to complete the procedures there and take admission.

 

 

Step 10.

It is responsibility of student to report to the college within 7 days of the issue of letter. Failure to report will entail automatic cancellation of admission. No refund of any of the fees paid to University.

 

Step 11.

It is mandatory for any student from non-English speaking countries to pass English Proficiency Test and his / her responsibility to be present on the day of the examination.

 

Step 12.

According to circular from Govt. of Indian ministry of Human Resource Department Universities and Colleges must not grant admission to foreign students if they do not have student or provisional student visa endorsed on their passports.

Following students are exempted from English Proficiency Test. 

·           Students from English speaking Countries.

·           Students who have passed from Indian H.S.C. Boards.

·           Students who have passed ELICIS Course.   

We request all Foreign Students to follow the procedures strictly. Those who refuse to accept the above rules will not be given admission.
